FEASIBILITY STUDY SANDWELL, BIRMINGHAM
Waste and Resources Projects (WARP) has undertaken a technical feasibility study and first stage market study for development of a waste treatment facility for a redundant industrial site in the Black Country. This study was a key component of the analysis of this project and helped to inform the decision to proceed to the next development stages of planning and permitting.
Waste and Resources Projects was commissioned by a commercial site developer to undertake a study to determine whether it was suitable for development of a waste treatment facility, in order to realise the value of the asset in its ownership.
The work involved considerable data collection and a desk study focusing on historic uses, planning and permitting requirements. The outcome indicated that it would be beneficial to prepare a planning application and development plan if funding and waste sources were to be available.
